The first
in Poland

non-public, specialist centre for glaucoma diagnostics and treatment

The Institute of Glaucoma and Eye Diseases in Warsaw was established in 2002 on the initiative of the Polish Society of Glaucoma Prevention. It is the first Polish non-public specialist centre of glaucoma diagnosis and treatment. Following the example of the best of such centres in the world, it has been functionally organized and equipped with state-of-the art equipment for the diagnosis and treatment of glaucoma. It employs a dedicated team of highly qualified ophthalmologists with many years of clinical experience.

The Institute specializes in the diagnostics and treatment of glaucoma and myopia, as well as diagnostics of intraocular tumors. For our patients we provide professor’s consultations and evaluation examinations before laser and surgical procedures. We offer a full range of surgical and laser treatment options for patients with glaucoma, including the unique technique of selective laser trabeculoplasty (SLT) for patients with ocular hypertension and juvenile glaucoma. The Institute has modern and comfortable hospital facilities for performing glaucoma surgical procedures and combined operations (glaucoma with cataract). In 2004, the Institute of Glaucoma was honoured with the prestigious award “Success in Health Care” for professionalism and the high standard of its services for patients.
